today, i just installed both openclaw and hermes agent. after few hour of usage, i decide to unistall openclaw and continue to use hermes agent for few reason ( would be posted as blog later)

The most impactful and worth moving from next.js to astro is how the light and fast astro is.

when iam build my portofolio with next.js, i wasnt calculate or burden with bundle size or hydration - as long everything work well. Everything look normal until i meet lot of trouble when maintaining daily my next.js portofolio

in the few month seems normal until i found few burden thing such as slow performance, peak at lighthouse score, everytime i build the bundle took ekstra time longer. I need time to optimize my mdx file, since next.js not native for creating mdx files. So i decide to Astro.

Astro bring new insight for maintaining static website. its faster performance , mdx friendly, island architecture, framework agnostic, and lighter build output. I think this is best for static mdx portofolio site

doesnt mean next.js bad, its good in the certain of areas. i still use next.js for maintaining school site that need SSR and connection to CMS. but for portofolio for showingcase my project and blogging. Astro is better !

The key is pick the right tool for the right job.
